The Penang Scrabble Competition

The Penang Scrabble Club members will be helping the management of The Gurney Plaza to run the above contest.

There will be 2 Categories Junior - 12 - 18 years old Open - Above 18 years old

Each Category is limited to ONLY 40 contestants So register as early as possible.

Entry Fee: Junior Category RM 10.00 Open Category RM 20.00

The 5th Grand Prix Tournament

Please be informed that the 5th (and final) GP will be held on the 

Date: 26th and 27th of July 2003 

Venue: Function Room 1,Level 4, Darby Park Hotel.

Registration starts from 8.00am to 8.30am. Latecomers will not be entertained.

The Malaysian Open

Date:  9th and 10th of August 

Venue: Hillciti College,Ipoh.

4th Equatorial Cameron Highlands Open Scrabble Tournament 2003

4th Equatorial Cameron Highlands Open Scrabble Tournament 2003 which will be held from 

12 to 14 September 2003.

This is an 18 Games Tourney which to be played from 12/09 (Friday) to 14/09 (Sunday) at the Equatorial Cameron Highlands. At the same time, you will enjoy the cool atmosphere with green scenery at the highlands and the sumptuous mouth-watering foods provided by the hotel while competing each other during the tournament.

Those who are keen to join, the tournament is organised on the 2nd week of September 2003 and also coincide with the school holiday week-end. Hence, plan your leave ahead and do not miss this tournament again for those who did not turn up in the past!!

Details of the Tourney :-

Venue    :    Equatorial Cameron Highlands

Format    :    18 Games (No repeats SWISS Pairing for the first 10 games and last 8 games with Repeats King Of The Hill)

Hotel Rates (rate quoted for per person for the whole duration of stay)    :-

(i) Twin Sharing    :    RM295 nett (3 days 2 nights)
(ii) Single Occupancy    :    RM395 nett (3 days 2 nights)
(iii) Child Rate    :    RM162 nett (3 days 2 nights) (for child aged 12 years old or below only)

Rates Include    :-

(i) 3 days 2 nights Accommodation at Superior Room
(ii) Meals    :    2 Buffet Breakfasts at Coffee Shop
                       2 Lunches (1 Dim Sum Lunch at Golden Phoenix ; 1 Hidang Lunch at Coffee Shop)
                       2 Dinners (1 BBQ Dinner at Level 3 Foyer ; 1 Steamboat Dinner at Golden Phoenix)

The 2 representatives for Malaysia will be the top two rated persons on the Malaysian Ranking with special emphasis that the rating continues from the existing Malaysian rating. The minimum games for qualification is 60 games played over a minimum period of 12 months, the confirmed cut off dates are from 21st July 2002 to 31st July 2003.
